Job Description

ABIS is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Lead Piping Engineer to take charge of the piping discipline within our dynamic team. This senior role demands active participation in all project phases, from initial proposal development and bidding activities to providing crucial technical support during construction and commissioning.

As a core engineering expert, you will be deeply involved in the daily engineering phase of single or multiple EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Your leadership will ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, contributing significantly to the company's reputation and project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and control all engineering activities within the piping discipline.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and actively support team-building initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and highlight potential issues or problems to management for timely remedial action.
  • Actively participate in progress review meetings, technical meetings, client meetings, and vendor meetings.
  • Support Procurement activities, including raising Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Bid Clarification/Evaluation (TBC/TBE), and drafting Purchase Requisitions.
  • Assist the bidding team by raising RFQs, conducting technical evaluations of bids, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Provide technical support to construction by responding to site-related technical queries (TQ).
  • Review and comment on GES plus engineering deliverables on a case-by-case basis.
  • Ensure the safety and quality of all deliverables.
  • Participate in Value Engineering practices such as value engineering studies, lessons learned sessions, Risk Assessment/Management Studies and workshops, and constructability studies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and appreciation, actively contributing to building the company's image.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS, BE, or B Tech).
  • Completion of relevant training and certification courses.
  • Over 10 years of combined experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, and Power Industries.
  • Proven experience working with GES plus/EPC Contractors on projects for Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and other reputable organizations.
  • Experience providing support during pre-commissioning activities.
